The North Georgia College & State University women’s soccer team has continued to push for a perfect regular season with a 4-0 win in its Peach Belt Conference (PBC) opener against Young Harris College.

With the win, the Lady Saints (7-0, 1-0) moved up in the National Soccer Coaches of America Association (NSCAA) to No. 5 in NCAA Division II Women’s Soccer.

The ranking is the highest in the history of the women’s soccer program, with No. 10 in 2011 being the previous highest.

Lady Saints defender Megan Morrow earned PBC Defender-of-the-Week on Monday, Sept. 17 for her performance against Young Harris College.

Morrow made the first goal of the game, along with two assists to help the Lady Saints to victory.

In seven games, the Lady Saints have outscored their opponents 27-3 and the team’s 0.43 goals allowed average is second in the PBC.

The Lady Saints are looking to continue dominating the regular season with a home game against PBC rival Georgia College on Saturday, Sept. 22 at 1 p.m.
