What Is Your Guilty Pleasure?

I enjoy music…I don’t know much about it after 1993, and not too much from before then. What I do know about music is that Nevermind The Buzzcocks is the best celebrity panel rock and pop music quiz show.
To unpack that description, each week team captains Phil Jupitus and Noel Fielding lead their respective teams, alongside two other guest celebrities. These teams face off in a four round music trivia battle. The rounds include a single trivia question, an intro round, where two teammates hum the intro to a popular song and the third has to guess what it is, the identity parade, where the teams have to guess which aging musician look-a-like is the real McCoy, and a “finish the line” game that features song lyrics from many popular songs.
It isn’t exactly Jeopardy, and I normally don’t feel as if I’ve learned anything after the game is over.
However, what makes the show so addictive are the team captains and their guests. Phil Jupitus is full of wit and Noel Fielding is comically insane. Usually they play off of one another very well, and the guests often welcome self-ridicule and are more than ready to fire back.
Nevermind the Buzzcocks is hosted on BBC Three, however, it is more readily available to American audiences on YouTube.
